The Edcouch-Else High School One-Act Play cast and crew advanced to the Area-level contest in early April with their show, LIFE IS A DREAM.

   This marks the fifth straight year OAP has advanced to the Area round.

   Paul Chavez and Adrian Castellanos received All-Star Casts at the contest.

    The Drama Department will soon be looking for PATRONS to help sponsor the 2006-07 season by providing donations -- in the form of monies, costumes, props, etc.  Please click here for more information and a copy of the letter.

     The OAP finished first runner-up at the UIL-OAP State Contest, a first for the district.  It is also the first time a Valley 4-A school placed in the top two, and the first time since 1993 any Valley school finished so high.

     In May, the company was recognized by the school board, the Hidalgo County Commissioner's Court, as well as a non-voting resolution in the Texas House of Representatives, led by Mr. Aaron Pena.
